TRADITIONAL BOOTH VENDORS

As a nonprofit community event, vendor fees help support advertising, decorations, infrastructure, utilities, entertainment, and other operational costs associated with creating and promoting the market experience.

While all applications are welcome, priority may be given to vendors offering handmade goods, traditional crafts, holiday décor, artisan products, specialty foods, or merchandise that complements the festive and old-world atmosphere of the market. Vendor space is limited, and applications are reviewed to help maintain a diverse and balanced selection throughout the event.

 

All vendors are required to review and agree to the Mohican Christkindlmarkt Vendor Policies & Participation Agreement prior to participation.

Vendor Fees

  • Market-provided cabin: $150 per weekend

  • Vendor owned cabin (or other): $100 per weekend

Market-Provided Cabins

 

Market-provided cabins include limited electrical access intended primarily for lighting. Vendors should not expect to use cabin power for cooking equipment, heaters, or other high-demand appliances unless specifically approved in advance. Limited exceptions may be authorized upon request.

 

Cabins measure approximately 8 feet wide by 6 feet deep and feature a large 6-foot service window with counters, as well as interior lighting.

 

Electric heaters are not permitted in market-provided cabins. Propane heaters are allowed, but market staff must be notified in advance. All propane heaters must be supervised at all times, and vendors are required to keep a fire extinguisher inside the cabin.

Vendor-Owned Cabins

 

Vendors are encouraged to consider building or providing their own cabins; however, general design concepts must be approved in advance by market organizers to help maintain the cohesive old-world atmosphere of the market. This is not intended to limit creativity or individuality, but rather to ensure that vendor spaces complement the overall character and aesthetic of the event.

 

Vendor-owned cabins are not provided access to market electrical service and should plan to rely primarily on battery-powered lighting or equipment. Generators are not permitted unless specifically authorized in advance by market staff.

Insurance Requirements

 

All vendors are required to carry a minimum of $1,000,000 liability insurance listing the following as additionally insured:

  • Mohican Christkindlmarkt

  • Mohican Historical Society

  • Loudonville FFA Alumni & Supporters

  • Village of Loudonville

Payment

If approved for participation, vendors are required to submit full payment to secure their spot.

The market provides a limited number of traditional 8x6 wooden cabins, available to vendors, to match the European aesthetic. However, vendors may bring their own cabin or trailer, at a discounted rate, provided that the design has been approved in advance by market staff.
